Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Set up a breading station: place flour in one shallow dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the breaded chicken in the basket in a single layer, leaving space between each piece. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
- Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in buttermilk for a few hours before breading.
- Feel free to add herbs and spices to the breadcrumb mixture for additional flavor.
- If your air fryer basket is small, cook the chicken in batches.
