  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Soak the catfish fillets in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize and add flavor.
  3. In a shallow dish, combine cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Remove catfish from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge each fillet in the cornmeal mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the coated catfish fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray the tops with cooking spray.
  7. Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the catfish is golden brown and cooked through.
