- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Soak the catfish fillets in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize and add flavor.
- In a shallow dish, combine cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Remove catfish from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge each fillet in the cornmeal mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the coated catfish fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray the tops with cooking spray.
- Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the catfish is golden brown and cooked through.
