Description

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices ham
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour (for sauce)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to 1/4-inch thickness.
  3. Layer each chicken breast with 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese.
  4. Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Dredge in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  6. Place in air fryer basket and spray lightly with olive oil.
  7. Cook for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  8. For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk.
  9. Stir in remaining Swiss cheese until smooth.
  10. Drizzle sauce over chicken before serving.
