Description
These air fryer chicken cutlets are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, making them a delicious and healthier option for dinner. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection in the air fryer!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko recommended for extra crunch)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the flour in a shallow dish. In a second shallow dish, whisk the eggs. In a third shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for uniform cooking.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Lightly spray both sides of the breaded chicken cutlets with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
- Arrange the chicken cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; you may need to work in batches.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in your favorite marinade for a few hours before breading.
- Feel free to experiment with different seasonings in the breadcrumb mixture to suit your taste.
- Serve with a side salad, pasta, or your favorite dipping sauce.
