Description
A crispy and tender chicken fried steak made in an air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound cube steak
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Marinate cube steak in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
- In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Remove steak from buttermilk and coat it with the flour mixture.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the coated steak in the basket and spray the top with cooking spray.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Check for doneness; the internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

- Adjust cooking time based on steak thickness.
- Serve with gravy or your favorite dipping sauce.
