Description
A healthier version of classic chicken parmesan made in the air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
- Pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
- Mix breadcrumbs, parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip chicken in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Place in air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes.
- Flip chicken, top with marinara and mozzarella.
- Cook 3-4 more minutes until cheese melts.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness
- Check internal temperature reaches 165°F
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving
