A healthier version of classic chicken parmesan made in the air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
  3. Mix breadcrumbs, parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dip chicken in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place in air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Flip chicken, top with marinara and mozzarella.
  7. Cook 3-4 more minutes until cheese melts.

Notes

  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness
  • Check internal temperature reaches 165°F
