A crispy chicken sandwich made in an air fryer for a healthier twist.
Ingredients

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce and tomato for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Whisk egg and water in another bowl.
- Place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
- Coat each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Lightly brush both sides of the chicken with olive oil.
- Place chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Toast the buns in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and chicken.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray the chicken with cooking oil before air frying.
- Check chicken internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
