Description

A crispy chicken sandwich made in an air fryer for a healthier twist.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce and tomato for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  3. Whisk egg and water in another bowl.
  4. Place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  5. Coat each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Lightly brush both sides of the chicken with olive oil.
  7. Place chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  8. Toast the buns in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Assemble the sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and chicken.
