Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray.
  5. Using a donut cutter or two round cookie cutters, cut out donuts from the dough.
  6. Place the donuts in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each one.
  7. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes, then flip and air fry for an additional 5 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove the donuts from the air fryer and let them cool slightly.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and enjoy!
