Ingredients

  • 1 pound Fresh okra (Trimmed and sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Add the trimmed and sliced okra to the bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat the okra evenly with the oil and the seasoning mix.
  4. Place the okra in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  5. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even crisping.
  6. Once the okra is golden brown and crispy, remove it from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can adjust the seasoning to your taste. Add more spices if you like a bit of heat.
  • For a gluten-free version, substitute the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
