  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Tender and flavorful American BBQ ribs that are perfect for any summer cookout.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, covering both sides evenly.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down. Wrap the ribs tightly in the foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  8. Unwrap the ribs and brush both sides with BBQ sauce.
  9. Grill the ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more cayenne pepper to the rub.
  • You can also cook the ribs in a slow cooker for an even more tender result.
