A delicious recipe for soft and sweet Amish cinnamon rolls.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Heat milk and butter until warm, then add to the dry ingredients.
- Add eggs and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread brown sugar and cinnamon over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to create icing and drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- For a richer flavor, use milk instead of water when making the dough.
