- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, flour, lemon juice, and salt. Toss until the apples are well coated.
- Roll out the pre-made pie crust and fit it into a tart pan. Trim any excess dough around the edges.
- Arrange the apple mixture evenly over the crust.
- Dot the top of the apples with small pieces of butter.
- Brush the edges of the crust with the beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For a sweeter tart, feel free to add more sugar to the apple mixture.
