  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, flour, lemon juice, and salt. Toss until the apples are well coated.
  3. Roll out the pre-made pie crust and fit it into a tart pan. Trim any excess dough around the edges.
  4. Arrange the apple mixture evenly over the crust.
  5. Dot the top of the apples with small pieces of butter.
  6. Brush the edges of the crust with the beaten egg.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
