Description
A deliciously warm and gooey baked brie topped with sweet cranberry sauce and crunchy walnuts, perfect for holiday gatherings or a cozy night in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 round of brie cheese (8 oz)
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (optional)
- 1 package of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Crackers or sliced baguette, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s large enough to wrap around the brie.
- Place the brie in the center of the puff pastry.
- Spread the cranberry sauce on top of the brie, then sprinkle with chopped walnuts and drizzle with honey. Add fresh rosemary if using.
- Fold the edges of the puff pastry over the brie, pinching to seal. Trim any excess pastry if necessary.
- Place the wrapped brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the puff pastry with the beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve warm with crackers or sliced baguette.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg to the cranberry sauce.
- Feel free to substitute walnuts with pecans or almonds if preferred.
- This dish is best served warm; reheat in the oven if necessary.
