Ingredients

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions, then drain.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add marinara sauce to the cooked beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, basil, salt, and pepper.
  6. Layer half the cooked pasta in a baking dish, then spread the ricotta mixture over it.
  7. Add the remaining pasta and top with the beef and sauce mixture.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
