Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  5. Stir in the flour until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into a buttered 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
