- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and break them into chunks.
- In a blender, combine the banana chunks, yogurt, milk, honey (if using), and vanilla extract.
- Blend on high until smooth and creamy. If desired, add ice cubes to thicken and blend again.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or maple syrup.
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a thicker smoothie, use frozen bananas or add more yogurt.
- You can substitute any non-dairy yogurt for a vegan option.
