Ingredients

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, coating both sides evenly.
  5. Place the ribs on the grill or in the oven, bone side down, and cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
  6. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce every 10 minutes.
  7. Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill or oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
