Ingredients

  • 4 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the beef brisket, ensuring it’s well coated.
  3. Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the crock pot.
  4. Add the beef brisket on top of the onion and garlic.
  5. Pour the beef broth and BBQ sauce over the brisket, making sure it is well covered.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the brisket is fork-tender.
  7. Once done, remove the brisket from the crock pot and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve with additional BBQ sauce and your favorite sides.
