- 4 pounds beef brisket
- 2 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the beef brisket, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the crock pot.
- Add the beef brisket on top of the onion and garlic.
- Pour the beef broth and BBQ sauce over the brisket, making sure it is well covered.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the brisket is fork-tender.
- Once done, remove the brisket from the crock pot and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with additional BBQ sauce and your favorite sides.
