  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for topping)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Cheddar cheese slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness. If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  4. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun bottom. Top with additional BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato, and the top bun.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
