Description
Juicy, flavorful BBQ burgers topped with smoky sauce and fresh ingredients, perfect for summer grilling or a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for topping)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Cheddar cheese slices (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness. If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun bottom. Top with additional BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato, and the top bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
- Feel free to customize your toppings with pickles, onions, or coleslaw for added crunch.
- You can also use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
