- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for drizzling, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken and BBQ sauce. Mix until the chicken is well coated.
- In another bowl, mix the cooked macaroni, chicken mixture, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for added crunch.
- Drizzle with olive oil if using.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to use any leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken for a quicker option.
- You can adjust the amount of BBQ sauce according to your taste preference.
- For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or a bit of hot sauce to the mixture.
