Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat or your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
- Rub the ribs with olive oil, then season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- If grilling, place the ribs bone-side down on the grill. Cook for about 2-3 hours, flipping occasionally and basting with BBQ sauce during the last 30 minutes.
- If baking, place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Cover tightly with another layer of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Remove the foil and brush the ribs with BBQ sauce. Return to the grill or oven for an additional 15-30 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
- Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the seasoning overnight.
- Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the ribs.
- Feel free to experiment with different BBQ sauces or add your favorite spices.
