- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat your grill or smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Place the pork shoulder on the grill or in the smoker, and cook for 4-6 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- During the last hour of cooking, brush the BBQ sauce over the pork shoulder.
- Once cooked, remove the pork shoulder from the grill and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Shred the pork using two forks, mixing in any remaining BBQ sauce.
- Serve the pulled pork on buns, topped with coleslaw if desired.
Notes
- For a deeper flavor, marinate the pork shoulder overnight with the spice rub.
- Feel free to customize the BBQ sauce to your taste; add honey for sweetness or vinegar for tang.
- This recipe can also be made in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
