  • 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed and drained
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch thick slices or cubes.
  3. In a bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Add the tofu to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor.
  5. If grilling, place the marinated tofu on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the tofu is heated through.
  6. If baking, place the marinated tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
