Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Cooked rice for serving
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, garlic, and ginger. Mix well and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add broccoli and stir-fry for 2 minutes until bright green.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over it. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
  7. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the beef in soy sauce and cornstarch for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for more color and nutrition.
  • Adjust the sugar level according to taste for a sweeter or saltier dish.
