- 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Cooked rice for serving
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, garlic, and ginger. Mix well and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add broccoli and stir-fry for 2 minutes until bright green.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over it. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
- Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef in soy sauce and cornstarch for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for more color and nutrition.
- Adjust the sugar level according to taste for a sweeter or saltier dish.
