- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add crushed tomatoes and sugar. Bring to a simmer.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet, cover, and simmer in the tomato sauce for 20 minutes, until cooked through.
- Serve meatballs and sauce over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped onions or bell peppers to the sauce.
- You can use ground turkey or chicken as a substitute for beef.
