- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, stirring to combine.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired.
