Description

A delicious and savory beef steak dish served with sautéed onions, perfect for a hearty dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 beef steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or your choice)
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef steaks with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they are soft and caramelized, about 10-12 minutes. Remove the onions from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the butter. Heat until the butter is melted and bubbling.
  4. Add the seasoned steaks to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.
  5. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for about 5 minutes.
  6. To serve, top the steaks with the sautéed onions and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
