Description

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef bones
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 10 cups water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roast the beef bones for 30 minutes.
  3. In a large pot, combine roasted bones, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, and water.
  4. Add bay leaves, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 4-6 hours.
  6. Strain the soup to remove solids.
  7. Serve hot or store in the fridge for later use.
