This berry trifle recipe layers luscious sponge cake, creamy custard, and a medley of fresh berries for a delightful dessert that is perfect for any occasion.

- 1 pound fresh mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 pound sponge cake or pound cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups vanilla pudding or custard
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the cake cubes at the bottom.
- Add half of the vanilla pudding or custard over the cake layer.
- Add half of the mixed berries on top of the pudding layer.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the berries.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
- Garnish with additional berries if desired. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- You can use store-bought cake or make your own sponge cake.
