Ingredients

- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 oz bourbon or rum
- Whipped cream for garnish
- Cinnamon stick for garnish
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat milk and heavy cream over medium heat until warm.
- Whisk in pumpkin puree, cocoa powder, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth.
- Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in bourbon or rum.
- Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream and a cinnamon stick.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the bourbon or rum.
- Use fresh pumpkin puree for the best flavor.
