Ingredients

- 2 lbs beef chuck, cubed
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp rosemary
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups biscuit mix
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Brown beef in a large oven-safe pot.
- Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in tomato paste, thyme, rosemary, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Cover and braise in oven for 2 hours.
- Mix biscuit dough with milk.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the beef mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 20 minutes until biscuits are golden.
