  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup (170g) chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
