Ingredients

- 8 oz (225g) spaghetti or linguine
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup of pasta water.
- In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add cooked pasta to the pan and toss well to coat in the garlic butter.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley (optional) and serve immediately.

- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
- Adjust garlic quantity based on preference.
- For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream.
