Ingredients

- 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
- 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in cherry tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine.
- Remove from heat and stir in mozzarella and basil.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use high-quality fresh mozzarella for best results.
- Can substitute chicken sausage for a lighter version.
- Add a splash of balsamic vinegar for extra flavor.
