A fresh and vibrant Caprese Salad made with ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fresh basil, and a drizzle of balsamic reduction.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic reduction
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. On a large platter, alternate layers of sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.
  2. Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the tomato and mozzarella layers.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic reduction over the top.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately at room temperature.
