- 2 chicken , sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with soy sauce and honey for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and cook chicken until caramelised. Set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger for 1 minute.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Return cooked chicken to the pan and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook rice according to package instructions.
- Serve chicken and broth over rice.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with green onions.
Notes
- Use low-sodium soy sauce if preferred.
- Adjust honey for desired sweetness.
- Swap chicken for thighs for a richer taste.
