  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

A rich and creamy caramelized onion dip served with crispy pita chips. Perfect for parties or a cozy night in!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pita chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and salt, cooking until the onions are soft and caramelized, about 20-25 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the caramelized onions, sour cream, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the dip to a baking dish and smooth out the top. Optionally, sprinkle extra cheddar cheese on top.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until the dip is bubbly and slightly golden on top.
  5. Serve warm with pita chips.

Notes

  • For a deeper flavor, you can add fresh herbs like thyme or chives.
  • To make it ahead of time, prepare the dip and refrigerate it. Bake just before serving.
