Description
A fresh salad featuring caramelized pears and blue cheese.
Ingredients

- 2 ripe pears, sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 cups mixed greens
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add pear slices and brown sugar. Cook until caramelized, about 5 minutes.
- Let pears cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, toss mixed greens with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Top with caramelized pears, blue cheese, and walnuts.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use firm pears for better caramelization.
- Replace walnuts with pecans if preferred.
