A classic cheese fondue recipe that’s perfect for sharing.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of dry white wine
- 2 cloves of garlic, halved
- 2 cups of grated Gruyere cheese
- 2 cups of grated Emmental cheese
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Nutmeg to taste
- Bread cubes for dipping
Instructions
- Rub the inside of the fondue pot with garlic.
- Add wine and heat until simmering.
- Gradually stir in the cheeses until melted.
- Mix cornstarch with lemon juice and add to the cheese mixture.
- Season with pepper and nutmeg.
- Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
