Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in 1 cup sugar and vanilla, mixing until combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, add sour cream and flour, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden.
- Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake in the oven for an additional 1 hour. This helps prevent cracks.
- Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
- For a flavored cheesecake, consider adding lemon zest or chocolate chips to the batter.
- Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter.
- Use a water bath while baking to help keep the cheesecake moist.
