A hearty pasta dish combining ground beef, Italian sausage, and rigatoni in a rich cheese sauce.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage
- 12 oz rigatoni pasta
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook rigatoni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until softened.
- Stir in marinara sauce, heavy cream, basil, and oregano. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine cooked pasta with the meat sauce. Mix well.
- Transfer to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Use spicy Italian sausage for extra heat.
- Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream if needed.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
