Delicious and healthy chia cinnamon rolls made with whole ingredients.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar for filling
- 2 tbsp cinnamon for filling
- 1/4 cup butter for filling, softened
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine flour, chia seeds, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Spread softened butter on the dough, then sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For a vegan option, substitute milk and butter with plant-based alternatives.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
