Description
A delicious and creamy chicken breast recipe that’s easy to make and perfect for a comforting dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Stir in the heavy cream, thyme, and basil. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Add the Parmesan cheese to the sauce and stir until melted and well combined.
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and coat them in the cream sauce. Let them simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve with pasta, rice, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the cream sauce for extra flavor and nutrition.
