Description
A classic dish featuring tender chicken breasts stuffed with ham and Swiss cheese, then breaded and baked to perfection. Served with a creamy Swiss cheese sauce.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Flatten chicken breasts between plastic wrap to an even thickness.
- Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast.
- Roll up the chicken and secure with toothpicks.
- Dip each chicken roll in flour, then beaten eggs, and finally breadcrumbs.
- Place in a baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- While baking, prepare the Swiss cheese sauce: Heat heavy cream in a saucepan, stir in grated cheese and mustard until smooth.
- Remove toothpicks before serving and drizzle with cheese sauce.
Notes
- Use toothpicks to secure the chicken rolls tightly.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Substitute Gruyère cheese for a richer flavor.
