Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
  6. Add curry powder, turmeric, and coriander powder, mix well.
  7. Add chicken pieces and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Pour in coconut milk and bring to a simmer.
  9. Season with salt and cook until chicken is tender.
  10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
