- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 3/4 cup Marsala wine
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
- Mix flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
- Dredge chicken in the flour mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook until browned.
- Pour in Marsala wine and scrape the pan to deglaze.
- Add chicken broth and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Stir in butter until melted and sauce thickens.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
