- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to adhere.
- Place the breaded chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, flip the chicken breasts over and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and spoon marinara sauce over each breast. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Return the chicken to the air fryer and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired and serve hot.
