  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to adhere.
  4. Place the breaded chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10 minutes.
  5. After 10 minutes, flip the chicken breasts over and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and spoon marinara sauce over each breast. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return the chicken to the air fryer and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired and serve hot.
