Description

A delicious and flavorful Chicken Shawarma Wrap filled with marinated chicken, fresh vegetables, and creamy sauce, wrapped in a soft pita bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 medium pita breads
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 cup tahini sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add chicken slices and coat well. Marinate for 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
  3. Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  4. Warm pita bread in a dry pan for 30 seconds.
  5. Spread tahini sauce on each pita. Add cooked chicken, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber.
  6. Roll tightly and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, grill the chicken instead of pan-frying.
  • Add pickles or hot sauce if desired.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
