A quick and easy Chinese beef and broccoli recipe that tastes like takeout. Ready in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients

- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions
- Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch. Add beef and marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over high heat. Stir-fry beef until browned, then remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed. Stir-fry garlic until fragrant, then add broccoli and water. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Return beef to the pan. Stir well and cook for another minute. Drizzle with sesame oil.
- Serve hot over rice.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly for tenderness.
- Use high heat for best stir-fry results.
