A classic Chinese dish combining tender beef and crisp broccoli in a savory sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, and water to make the sauce.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over high heat. Stir-fry beef for 2 minutes until browned. Remove from pan.
- Add remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry garlic for 30 seconds.
- Add broccoli and stir-fry for 3 minutes.
- Return beef to the pan. Pour sauce over and stir-fry for 2 more minutes.
- Serve hot with rice.
Notes
- Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
- Blanch broccoli for 1 minute if you prefer softer texture.
